They told me I would be there about 2 hours for initial assessment and I was there for 2 hours and it really went quickly. After sealing of calves and thighs which was seamless, in and out in less than 45 minutes. This procedure of actually removing veins was a little more extensive but nothing like what my father went through in 1979 inpatient and in a operating room. This was really no worse then getting a shot of lidocaine in a dentist office in the roof of one's mouth. Although the numbing was like little pinches, having to lay on my stomach was the most uncomfortable part of everything including vein removal versus the vein sealing that came first.
